Speech Title: Authenticity in the digital age: Implications for AI, blockchain, and other technologies
David W. Lehman
He is Professor of Management at the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, USA. He studies basic questions related to organization theory. One stream focuses on organizational authenticity, with an emphasis on understanding how audiences respond to firms, things, and people that they view as real. The other stream focuses on organizational learning, with an emphasis on understanding how risk, routines, and rules impact organizational decision making over time. He has conducted his research in a variety of domains, including professional sports, food and dining, healthcare, pipelines and hazardous materials, global exporting, and servitization. His research has been published in a range of outlets, including Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Long Range Planning, Management Science, and Organization Science, among others.


Speech Title: From servitization to platformization: Scaling industrial value creation via B2B platforms, AI, blockchain, and other emerging technologies
Paavo Ritala
He is a Professor of Strategy and Innovation at the Business School at LUT University, Finland. His main research themes include networks, ecosystems, and platforms, the role of data, algorithms, and digital technologies in organizations, business model innovation, and circular and regenerative economy. His research has been published in outlets such as Journal of Management, Research Policy, Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of Product Innovation Management, R&D Management, Technovation, Long Range Planning, and California Management Review. He is closely involved with business practice through research projects, executive and professional education programs, and in speaker and advisory roles. Prof. Ritala is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of R&D Management and serves on the editorial review board of Journal of Product Innovation Management.
